Countryside in geumdangsil village

Yongmunmyun is composed of Jegokmyun, Hyugugokmyun, Yurimyun since 1592.
Jegokmyun and Hyugugokmyun are absorbed by Jegomyun in 1913.
Jegomyun and Yurimyun are absorbed by Yongmunmyun in May, 1914

'Geumdangsil' is so called 'Geumdanggok' or 'Geumgok'.
A man of the surname, Gamchun Mun are frontier, his son-in-law 'Park Jong-in' and 'Byun eung-nyung' are settled down.
They named it Geumdang, symbolizing pond. 
According to the index, Myung's general passing by this area in the Imjin war said, " This place is like Yangyang Geumgok in China, Darlgurijae(Hakmyunghyun) being in the front, Gaewurijae(Gyungokhyun) being in the right. That's why it's name is Geumgok.

This proverb shows us that these people in this town are fashionable clean.
Also, in Junggamrok this place is one of the proposed sites of Korea capital since Geumdangsil is famous for safe place in the emergency like war.
